US resident Jennifer McBride, who returned stolen dogs to Lady Gaga, sued the singer. The basis of the lawsuit was that the star did not pay the promised reward to the girl, writes the portal BuzzFeed News.
Recall that on February 25, 2021, unknown persons shot several times at a dog sitter who was walking two French bulldogs Gaga, and abducted the dogs. Then the singer announced that she would pay 500 thousand dollars to the one who would return the pets. McBride handed over the dogs two days later.
In April of the same year, law enforcement officers detained five alleged abductors. By the way, McBride herself was among them. The police found out that the girl was in a relationship with the father of one of the thieves, and she was accused of complicity in the crime. The court sentenced her to two years probation.
Nevertheless, the American is unhappy that Lady Gaga has not paid her the promised 500 thousand dollars. According to the suit, because of this, she experienced pain and mental anguish, and also “lost the pleasure of life.” The singer herself and her representatives have not yet commented on this matter.
