The one who is known as the king of rock and roll was born in a house marked with a number 605 Kelly Streetin Tupelo, Mississippi, on January 8, 1935, but from 1943 to 1944 he and his family moved to a simple house located at number 1241 aka Kelly Streetwhich was in the news a few hours ago after it was announced that it was up for auction.
House with an annex 1260 square feet and distributed over one floor, has three bedrooms and a bathroom.
It also has a kitchen, dining room, main room, attic, porch and other spaces that the translator and his family undoubtedly enjoyed.
Outside there are green areas with lots of weeds and tall grass.
It turned out that the new owner, whose identity was not disclosed, plans to demolish the old house and build an exact replica in its place, decorated with various objects of that time.
“The owner plans to restore the house by outfitting it with 1930s furniture and homewares and then adding other Elvis collectibles,” said Geoffrey Marren, owner of Rockhurst Auctions. In an interview with the British newspaper The Sun.
