Jomari Goiso presents the premiere of “More fashion, less filters” and assures that fashion is liberation turned into a prison.

Fashion is liberation, but many have turned it into a prison….So in his style He is defined by Jomari Goiso, who has great challenges in his professional career and great opportunities that TelevisaUnivision gives him.become the first of their 360 talents.

What is 360? what will happen starting this Tuesday, March 7th, when you will see him debut his “Más Moda, Menos Filtro” segment on the 24/7 nightly newscast on ViX, and on Wednesday the 8th on “Despierta América”..

Before his debut, and already almost recovered from a fall from his horse at the end of last year, We spoke with Jomari about new features, fashion, filters, bondage and liberation..

-Congratulations! You are the first talent of the 360 network, with “More fashion, less filters” …

Jomari Goiso: we include a segment that will consist of 2 different parts: one will be “More Fashion”, the other will be “Less Filters”. “Wake Up America” and Vix Evening News… Two different days, different concepts, different content.

– What will the audience see in this segment, divided in two?

Jomari Goiso: It’s a trendy concept, obviously incorporating a lot of what’s going on in the networks right now. Fashion does not stop, fashion is a mass industry, it will have more time to talk, because now there really is no segment, for example, in Despierta América, that only talks about fashion. does not existThere are segments that exist when there is a fashion show or an awards ceremony, but not a weekly one, this is what we created.

– Jomari fashion, not traditional, but with feeling, not hurt.

Jomari Goiso: You always hurt someone because I’ve learned that over the years… If it’s not the one who made the dress, it was the one who combed the extensions or the one who put on the lashes… But trying to be a little objective, and not with the intention of saying, “That’s terrible,” but to understand people a little.

It also seems unfair to me that the industry wants to sell everyone a concept, saying that you have to buy it to make it impressive. Someone should tell them: “You don’t have to buy anything, you have to love yourself the way you are.”. Fortunately, there are people who stop many things, many movements… People say, “Well, it’s true, I don’t have to dye my hair every day anyway, because if I don’t have gray hair.” In fact, people need to be told that, you don’t have to follow trends. That’s where the concept of “More fashion, less filters” came from, my way of interpreting fashion.

-What is the best and what is the most cruel in fashion?

Jomari Goiso: The best thing about fashion is that for many, this is both a liberation and a way of self-expression, and people sometimes know how to hide what they don’t like and highlight what they like.it’s really the concept of how fashion, beauty, makeup and everything else is born, is to emphasize what you like and hide what you don’t like in some way or means. The problem is that it has become a prison. Women are the most miserable, because the prison for women, in everything, is the dark side of fashion.

Though people don’t care sometimes, and then they don’t care Fashion is the second largest cause of pollution in the world. A very big movement began during the pandemic, people looked at the world, what is happening to usbut lost a bit… Now many artists are wearing old dresses, the Kardashians recently spoke about this…Not because they can’t buy new ones, not because they don’t have a million designers to make them the most beautiful dress in the world, but because they want to send a message that it can be recycled.

You don’t need to create, you need to create sustainable fashion, for this reason, because there are already a lot of followers on the net who criticize the new generations, it’s like: you don’t care about the planet, you don’t care about animals, why? You wear fashion that destroys, it’s delicate, it’s a delicate thing.

– You talk about fashion as a prison, “Less the filter”, is the filter today’s prison?

Jomari Goiso: Everything has good and bad. For someone everything helped to feel better, and for someone everything helped to destroy themselves. The filter is designed to make everyone feel like a celebrity.. Retouching has been around all my life, if you don’t look at 90s magazines, Vogue, colors, non-brands and all that…

It happens that it was not massive, not everyone succeeded, when the filter is born they all feel like celebrities, the problem is that their self-esteem destroyed them, because then they looked in the mirror and said: “Oh no, my reality is not that” … And what happens? I remember years ago I did a cover with a celebrity and she got touched up and she called her manager and said, “Take it off, don’t touch me, I hate it.” And I said no, well, if you divinely retouch, and she answered me, “And when will I go out into the street and they won’t recognize me?” … This is the reality that is lived when people put on a lot of filters and criticize them.

When we see us live, the first thing we are always told is: “Do you look prettier or not prettier than on TV? do you look prettier? Is that the first thing they tell you, do you look taller, do you see yourself as shorter? You look fatter, do they see you slimmer?” So it’s not easy.

– You look the same or be just as cute.

Jomari Goiso: I always They tell me that I look prettier, that I look slimmer, that I look taller, and that I look prettier in real life.… But there are people who have seen them live and they look worse, which creates uncertainty for you, everyone looks at themselves in filters and sees comments: “how beautiful you are” … I’m not like that, I look at those women who grow their hair, and how you look beautiful now, how strong, where did it go? In other words, I’m not very beautiful, I have to do everything to be beautiful, it’s delicate.

-What do you say about it, even if you are a fashion reporter, how do you take care of the reception of others, those who look at you?

Jomari Goiso: We proceed from the fact that I do not consider myself to be anyone’s teacher and that I no longer feel like an inspiration to anyone, if someone wants to be inspired, that’s fine, but I don’t feel, Since I use filters, I use everything that affects something.I feel like I’m having more of an impact with what I put out of my mouth.

-I mean the show

Jomari Goiso: I feel that what I say is the consequence the message I send is what comes in, not much whether I use filters or not, I’m very careful with thiswith what I say because I have nephews, because I have nieces, because I already understand the consequences of people who write to me, that when I say something about curly hair, straight hair…

I have always been, fortunately for me, like me I grew up in an environment where there was no discrimination based on skin color, race, hair type, or beauty type.. But I realized that 90% of people grow up in cultures or families that discriminate against everyonedirty and ugly hair, you have ugly colors, you are fat, you are thin, that ear is ugly… I never grew up with someone like that, so it changes, it changes the way I see life, because there are moments when I say something, and they say to me: “Jomari, you are thinking about something else” … And I, poor thing, do not think about anything else, because I did not grow up on this, but because these people have grown up with it since they were very young, there is no God to take it away.

There were times when my superiors said: “No, you have to say what you like, both bad and good.” In my lists at the end, I indicate the two best, but not the worst.Years ago, I think since I left El Gordo and La Flaca, I said I don’t do it anymore because I never talk.

-You came to Univision without knowing TV, with an opportunity you didn’t understand why you were given it, and today you become the first 360 talent on the web. How do you feel?

Jomari Goiso: I am proud that I am a rebellious person, what is rebellion, fighting for what you think is fair, I am proud that over the years I have been able to strengthen my personality through the love of people.. When I was previously offered to work in television, before joining Univisión, they offered me, I always said I didn’t want to work on it because I saw it go back to my bullying days.that someone will condemn me, insult me, say that … But it was the other way around, obviously, there are people who insult me, obviously, there are people who cannot stand me.but I’ve never seen it, because I’m used to it, I grew up with it.

But I didn’t grow up with people who told me, wow, you helped them, you changed them, and I think it is the dream of all the people who work in the world of entertainment, we all dream of influencing a person’s life. my intention is not hDo it how nice it is when someone feels that you have helped them, because for me this is my job, I am very passionate and love it, but I am at my job… Yes, now that you mentioned it, and today, seeing all this, yes, I’m the first talent that Univision is channeling into what will be part of the future of television, namely 360 connecting ViX to Univision.. I am grateful, I I am very grateful for everything they give me, I am blessed with what they take from meI don’t feel like they’re taking away something that makes me shine, when they give me something, I feel like they’re giving me a new challenge to shine in a different way.
