Oscars: The Most Expensive Jewelry a Star Has Worn at an Event

The Oscars are an event that stars take advantage of every year to wear outfits that allow them to shine on the red carpet. and in some cases have gone down in history both for their dresses or costumes, as well as for their hairstyles and even for the very expensive jewelry they wear.

The truth is, Oscar night is something that fans of the seventh night are looking forward to and those who want to see what the stars will wear in fashion trends and luxurious jewelry on this special night.

Few actresses choose to wear their own jewelry, the vast majority use items borrowed from large jewelry stores for advertising. Below we present some of the most expensive jewels on display in the history of the Hollywood Academy Awards.

Kate Winslet: In 2010, the actress wore a Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace. with a $3.5 million art deco yellow diamond pendant. In addition, she had diamonds and three identical bracelets.

Angelina Jolie: In 2009, the actress walked the red carpet with Brad Pitt, her then-husband. For the event, she wore a black dress that was paired with dazzling 115-carat Colombian emerald earrings by designer Lorraine Schwartz worth $3.5 million; she also wore a matching large emerald ring.

Hellen Mirren: At the 2018 Oscars, the Brit wore a $3.8 million diamond and sapphire necklace and earrings designed by Harry Winston.

Salma Hayek-Pino: At the 2018 awards ceremony, the Mexican was the recipient of the award and wore Harry Winston diamond and platinum drop earrings worth $4.2 million. He also wore a matching ring.

Nicole Kidman: In 2008, an Australian woman wore a piece of art by L’Wren Scott, which had almost 1,400 carats of diamonds in it, and for its manufacture. It looked like she wore a cleavage shower and cost $7 million.

Madonna: At the 1991 Oscars, the Queen of Pop arrived with Michael Jackson and called on her inner Marilyn Monroe, wearing a $20 million Harry Winston diamond necklace.

Lady Gaga: At the 2019 Oscars, she wore a diamond necklace that dangled from the mythical Tiffany & Co. yellow diamond; Before the singer, only two women wore it: Mary Crocker Alexander, wife of the American diplomat Edwin Sheldon Whitehouse, and Audrey Hepburn in the promotional looks for the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Its current value is estimated at $30 million and is currently the most expensive one to have walked the Oscars red carpet.
