‘Chapter Over’: Scarlett Johansson leaves the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Scarlett Johansson will no longer play the role of Black Widow in films from Marvel – the Hollywood actress has decided to leave the MCU. She announced this on The Goop podcast.

“The chapter is over. I did everything I had to do”said the celebrity.

Johansson also acknowledged that playing the same character for almost a decade is a unique experience.

Recall that for the first time Scarlett Johansson appeared on the screens in the role of the Black Widow in 2010. Since then, the actress has appeared in six more Marvel films. Natasha Romanoff’s story ended in 2019 when the heroine died in Avengers: Endgame. In 2021, she returned to television in the Black Widow prequel set long before the Avengers era.
