JK Rowling, creator of the Harry Potter series, shared that she has already refused her peerage in the UK twice. The writer reported this on the social network X.

“I’ve already turned down a peerage twice, once under Labor and once under the Tories. If I were offered a peerage a third time, I still wouldn’t accept it.” – Rowling emphasized.

She made her statement after a YouGov poll found that about 40% of Britons would support the hypothetical granting of a peerage to the writer.

The highest title of nobility in the peerage allows its holder to be a member of the House of Lords, the upper house of the British Parliament.

Earlier, on May 5, British writer JK Rowling announced that she was going to write six more books.
