But handmade work seems to bring objects to life. In the film “Finist. The First Hero” every detail of the costume is made individually. The helmet, for example, was forged by a blacksmith.

The best costume designers worked on the fantasy adventure film “Finist. The First Bogatyr”. The task was to intertwine modernity and epic motifs, historical trends and take into account “cinema” features.

“It was impossible to burden the heroes with the weight and richness of the costume. Lightness, color, fabulousness“, said costume designer Marina Ananyeva.

“There is no plate armor in Russian history. We had to make digressions and borrow costumes from European costume“, emphasized costume designer Irina Chepenko.

Finist’s armor is very complex, and I have help from costume designers. Next comes the underarmor, which softens the warrior’s blows. The shell is made of real metal. It’s not plastic. Weighty. Heroic belt. I have to make it beautiful.

The performer of the role of Finist, Kirill Zaitsev, will become a heroic figure – almost two meters tall.

“This is probably the kind of fitness and weight loss that happens naturally when you run for 12 hours under the scorching sun in armor. The hero, of course, he put on his shirt in the morning; if he goes on a hike, of course, he does not get out of his armor, he is always in his armor. And this fact that you need to constantly be in armor brings you closer to the hero“, Zaitsev said.

The action of the new blockbuster from the heroic universe, and this is the fourth film, takes place in the mysterious East. Moreover, real epic special forces get there: Finist, his adjutant Melekha, the camel Jamal and Baba Yaga in the new image of a vamp woman.

Baba Yaga is played by Yulia Peresild. For her, we had to develop a completely new, unusual image of a witch from fairy tales.

“She still plans to somehow preserve her youth. This is, of course, her main story – to preserve her beauty and youth. She really likes all these oriental costumes here. And, of course, oriental men“, said Honored Artist of Russia Yulia Peresild.

“Here she is a young, appetizing, beautiful, attractive lady. Baba Yaga has a cleavage“, noted Ananyeva.

“There was a strong wind on the dune. We made corrections for Kirill, and part of his beard flew away. Thank God there is some bush nearby. And this detail stuck“, said makeup artist Olga Afinogenova.

“I even have a folder on my phone with similar dresses. I fell in love with the image of Zlata“, said actress Kristina Stroiteleva.

It is quite possible that the whole world will fall in love with the costumes from the film.
