Psychiatrist Elena Nikolaeva said that the quality of sleep can be affected by excessive consumption of sugar and flour products. Portal writes about it News.ru.

According to the expert, flour, sugar and even rice in excess can provoke insomnia. These products lead to an increase in insulin levels, which affects the release of adrenaline and cortisol into the blood.

Nikolaeva advised people suffering from insomnia to give up buns and pies. She noted that it is best to replace them with salads, vegetables, fruits and whole grains.

At the same time, the psychiatrist emphasized that insomnia is a disorder in which a person cannot fall asleep for about a day, and not a condition when it is difficult to go to bed.

Nikolaeva added that with symptoms of the disease, you need to consult a specialist, since insomnia affects the decrease in concentration and vigilance. In some cases, a person may behave like a drunk and drive badly.
