Joints in a person can crackle due to inflammation of the tendons, arthritis or arthrosis. Nikolay Subbotin, a traumatologist-orthopedist of the Clinical Hospital on the Yauza of the Medscan group, spoke about this.
So, according to the expert, the crunch of the joints may indicate an incipient disease, reports “Gazeta.Ru”.
All joints have synovial fluid that lubricates and nourishes them, the expert explained. The same liquid contains gases in the form of bubbles, which can burst when moving.
The specialist also explained that often the cause of the crunch is hypertrophy or an increase in the size of the fold of the inner lining of the joint, which produces fluid.
However, Subbotin added that if the crunch is accompanied by pain, then surgical treatment is necessary.
In addition, the joint may crackle due to tendonitis, or inflammation of the tendon tissue that runs along the joint.
Earlier, a traumatologist-orthopedist Konstantin Ternovoy told how to avoid problems with posture during office work. He recommended exercising at least once a week.
