An unexploded shell was removed from the leg of a SVO soldier near Belgorod

In the Belgorod region, military surgeons performed a complex operation to remove a shell filled with explosives from the leg of a Russian soldier with the call sign Pushka. Doctors managed to save the life of the wounded soldier.

“I remember they sprained my leg, it was such hellish pain. I kept thinking: when will we get there? And then (in the hospital) I went nuts: they also said that there was some kind of projectile in me… What if it exploded?” – shared his impressions with IA Regnum military.

On an x-ray, doctors saw that the unexploded cylinder had embedded itself in Cannon’s bone. In just a quarter of an hour, a team of doctors, working in bulletproof vests, removed the shell from the victim’s body. After which the ammunition was placed in a special container with sand.

Pushka said that he remembers the moment the drone hit in detail. A soldier of the Russian Armed Forces was riding a moped in the depths of the positions at low speed, in third gear, when an enemy “bird” hit the moped. When he woke up, the soldier noticed that a bag of ammunition and food, which the soldier was supposed to take to scouts and UAV operators, was taped to his body.

The military man understood that he had to get to his comrades, otherwise he would not survive. Then he shook out the food from the bag and bandaged his leg with thick cloth. So Cannon carefully climbed onto the transport, not even suspecting that there was an undetonated shell in the thigh area.

At the same speed, which, as it turned out, saved his life, he reached the Russian military, where he lost consciousness. The soldier woke up on the way to the hospital.

Let us remind you that a similar operation was already carried out in June 2023. Then Russian doctors from one of the airborne units in the Artemovsk direction operated on a patient with an unexploded shell in his leg. The ammunition lodged in the soldier’s thigh and narrowly missed the bone.
