A severe allergic reaction, which can lead to Quincke’s edema, can be caused by elite Dubai chocolate. This effect from overseas sweets occurs due to the content of a large number of allergens and natural ingredients in the delicacy, about this “Izvestia” said candidate of medical sciences, nutritionist Rimma Moisenko.
“Coffee, cocoa and nuts are the strongest allergens. If the product also contains dairy components, which also cause allergies, the product turns into a “bomb force” for the allergy sufferer, causing at least severe Quincke’s edema or another type of allergic reaction,” – Moisenko emphasized.
The nutritionist noted that Dubai chocolate itself and its ingredients are not dangerous for people; it does not contain any harmful substances. There’s just a difference between a bar that contains nothing but cocoa beans and a chocolate bar filled with all kinds of nuts. For many, this particular product is a strong allergen.
The candidate of science clarified that the Dubai brand must have all permits for the sale of chocolate. The main ingredients are listed on the label, but many people do not attach importance to reading the packaging due to the fact that all the components are written in Arabic. As for the secondary contents of the product, they are often not prescribed at all.
