The former vice-president of the Ministry of Health was declared a suspect in accordance with Art. 321-2 of the Criminal Code – “Violation of the established procedure for pre-clinical studies, clinical trials and state registration of drugs.”
The issue of choosing a restraining measure for the suspected former senior official is now being decided. The agency does not name the former deputy head of the Ministry of Health, but Alexander Komarida, who was fired last week, received suspicion, according to the publication Slovo i Delo.
Oleksandr Komarida was dismissed from his position as Deputy Head of the Ministry of Health, which he has held since September 2021, at the Council of Ministers meeting held on 8 February. Prior to that, the senior official was Deputy Minister of Health for European Integration and previously headed the pharmaceutical department of the Ministry of Health.
