The Belarusian army is ready to invade the territory of Ukraine with the RF Armed Forces. This was expressed by the Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko on February 16 at a meeting with representatives of foreign and local media.
In particular, during a press conference, the politician announced under what condition the army of Belarus, together with the Armed Forces of the RF, will invade the territory of Ukraine.
According to Lukashenka, a large-scale war will take on a different character if foreign troops enter the territory of Belarus.
“So far I am ready to fight together with the Russians from the territory of Belarus: if at least one soldier from there comes to the territory of Belarus to kill my people. If they attack Belarus, the answer And the war will take on a completely different character.”
During a press conference, the Belarusian politician accused the Ukrainian army of preparing an attack using rocket artillery. Lukashenka claims that the “attack on Belarus” was a planned action by Ukraine.
“I don’t know why it was necessary (Attack on Belarus – ed.) In the first minutes they were attacked from the territory of Belarus. For several years they have been preparing to attack neighboring Belarus.
It should be noted that at the press conference, the president repeated the propaganda thesis of the Russian media and blamed the West for the total occupation of the RF Armed Forces. Lukashenka believes that Ukraine’s allies are not interested in ending the war and holding peace talks.
To the journalist’s clarifying question about whether aggression from Minsk is possible, the politician replied: “We are peaceful people. We know what war is. We do not want war, and we will not send our soldiers there in any way.” Unless they attack Ukrainian territory and from there against Belarusian territory.”
