The Verkhovna Rada recorded a draft resolution on the basic principles of negotiations on the surrender of Russia or its legal successors and on the conditions for ending the war. Draft resolution 9044 was published on the website on February 21.

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, said on December 1 that Russian propagandists had called for the resumption of negotiations with Ukraine. According to him, the Kremlin changed its agenda from “we will seize Kiev in 2-3 days” to “how to avoid military court”.

The leader of the Republicans, the 45th President of the USA, Donald Trump, in a speech to his supporters on February 20, talked about the possibility of ending the great war in Ukraine within 24 hours. Trump seeks reelection as president.
