Blinken: Ukraine has all it takes to save its lands

According to the US Secretary of State, Ukraine has sufficient resources for a counterattack, including weapons and trained fighters.

Ukraine has all the necessary weapons and resources to save its territory during the counterattack. This statement was made by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken during a joint briefing with British Foreign Secretary James Claverley on 9 May.

He stressed that this was his own assessment.

“By my own calculations, they (Ukrainian Armed Forces – ed.) have everything they need to continue to successfully retake territories captured by Russia in the last 14 months,” Blinken said.

The US Secretary of State emphasized that in addition to armament, it is about quality training of the army, which guarantees the quality use of weapons.

“This is a guarantee that the Ukrainians will be able to maintain the systems we have provided them, and of course, it is important that they again have the right plans to be successful,” he added.

On May 9, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said that the supreme military command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is examining several possible options for a counterattack by the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Also, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said the Ukrainian defenders were carefully preparing for a future counterattack and would launch it when the “right time” came. This will help warriors achieve tremendous success.

Recall that on May 9, the occupied Ukrainians told how the Russians were preparing for the counterattack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Locals say the Russians are still occupying their positions in the Zaporozhye region and there are no signs of the troops being withdrawn.
