We need a “Patriot coalition”. Zelensky spoke about the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (video)

The Ukrainian army cannot get missiles for the Patriot complexes, as Ukraine is next in line for them. This was expressed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at a joint press conference with Estonian President Alar Karis on 2 June in Kiev.

According to the state leader, the Armed Forces of Ukraine need not only missiles. The military in the war zone also lacks Patriot complexes.

“We already see how difficult it will be for us without Patriots. Our goal is to hit the targets 100 percent, not 70-75 percent,” Zelensky said.

The President also spoke of the shortage of such weapons in Western countries and the United States. Therefore, Ukraine is ready to receive them.

At the press conference, the Ukrainian leader also said that he had previously discussed the creation of a “Patriot coalition” with countries ready to join the “war coalition”.

Recall, on June 1, it was learned that the Prime Minister of the Netherlands called for increased military assistance to the Ukrainian army. Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte noted that at the upcoming summit it is planned to discuss the strengthening of Ukraine’s air defense, including the possibility of supplying new Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems.

On the same day, the head of the Polish government, Mateusz Morawiecki, announced that the countries are ready to quickly supply Ukraine with Patriot air defense systems. At a press conference in Chisinau on Thursday, June 1, Moravetsky, after consulting with representatives of other countries, said that the first people from some states to have Patriot air defense systems are ready to transfer them to our country.
