According to MP Sergei Grivko, convicts will be able to comply with the standards set by the Ministry of Justice. They will have the opportunity to reduce their sentences by 30 days within a year.
People’s Deputy Sergei Grivko of the Servant of the People Party has approved a bill that would allow prisoners to shorten their stay in prison by generating electricity using bicycle facilities. He wrote this on his Facebook page on September 19.
Therefore, according to draft law no. 10057, 50 thousand prisoners should be encouraged to produce electricity through bicycle production facilities.
“If they comply with the standards set by the Ministry of Justice within one month, the prison sentence is reduced by 3 days for not more than 10 months per year. In other words, the convict can reduce the sentence within one year.” “Imprisonment for up to 30 days. This will directly affect the savings in its content – up to about 8% (up to 200 million UAH),” the people’s representative said.
According to Grivko, this initiative demonstrates alternative possibilities that can be implemented in gyms and other buildings to charge the energy system.
“It would be great to see a gym that generates electricity,” Grishko said.
He said that it is necessary to act decisively to create something new.
Please note that the text of the bill is not yet available on the Verkhovna Rada website.
Let us remind you that a draft law on electronic registration of military personnel has been published in the Rada. People’s deputies plan to significantly expand the list of data to be collected in the accounting ledger, which is detailed in the published document.
