Foreign Ministry Spokesman Georgy Tikhy noted that Ukraine invites all “peacemakers” to voice their proposals at the Peace Summit. However, there are principles on which our country wants to agree to end the war.
During the Russian-Ukrainian war, there were already many different “peace initiatives” aimed at ending it. Foreign Ministry spokesman Georgy Tikhy recalled that from time to time different countries offered “mediation services” and a platform for negotiations.
“We have a simple, clear, understandable position; there is a process of the Peace Summit, there is a formula for peace and there are interim meetings in between,” he said.
He invited all countries in Ukraine that want to contribute to the restoration of a just world to join this “inclusive process”.
Georgy Tikhy noted that on such a platform, common ground can be sought and different visions can be supported.
“There are principles that we want to agree on, that we want to abide by, and we invite all countries to join this,” the Foreign Ministry representative emphasized.
Let’s recall that earlier the Italian publication La Repubblica reported that German politician Olaf Scholz wants to become the “Chancellor of Peace” and thus retain his position. Allegedly, a “peace plan” is being prepared, which envisages the preservation of Ukrainian territories currently seized by Russia.
As President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated, Ukraine needs a productive second Peace Summit that could take place early this year. This will be one of the priorities of new Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiga.
