European Solidarity Corps leader Petro Poroshenko wore the jacket worth 2,500 euros to a meeting with officers and diplomats, but cut off the tag to hide its price. The ultra-expensive clothes Poroshenko wears at meetings to help the Ukrainian look as inappropriate as possible. Blogger Sergei Ivanov writes about this, UNIAN reports.
“At a meeting with the military and diplomats, Poroshenko wore a luxury jacket with cut-out labels for 2,500 euros to hide the price. A few months ago I caught Poroshenko wearing a shirt from the luxury brand Ralph Lauren Purple Label for 2,250 euros. Those who created his image were a little exhausted and shouted in the comments, But they drew conclusions and began to hide the cost in lakhs with which Peter dressed his crowned body. Therefore, the gray-haired man recently met with Western politicians who really do not understand the desire for heavy luxury of post-Soviet oligarchs, just in case, they cut the Zilli brand label from his jacket, he writes. Ivanov.
Sergei Ivanov states that Poroshenko’s 2,500-euro jacket is a product of the French brand Zilli, which sews its products from special materials such as stingray, python, ostrich and crocodile skin, peccary fiber, guanaco, vicuna, cashmere and silk.
Ironically, the blogger writes: “On the official website of Zilli, they write that this light and elegant dark blue jacket with an “officer’s collar” is easily combined with sporty elegance and is ideal for autumn.”
According to the blogger, Poroshenko actually didn’t want anyone to know the value of the jacket because he cut off the tags.
“It is clear that Poroshenko really does not want to indulge in waste, that is, he has a basic understanding of the incompatibility of luxury with bloody reality. For example, when you meet soldiers and volunteers who went to the front. But often nature steps in. In fact, there is no problem with valuable clothes if you do not mention “ordinary people” at every step. In a warring country you still have to be more modest,” Ivanov summarizes.
As previously reported, Poroshenko enriched himself by more than 1 billion hryvnia in October. Of this significant sum, the oligarch received almost UAH 824 million from the so-called “blind trust”. During the years of full-scale occupation, Poroshenko rose from 12th to 3rd place among the richest oligarchs, with only Akhmetov and Pinchuk being richer than him.
