Macron arrived in Warsaw to discuss the geopolitical situation, the Russia-Ukraine war and cooperation with the Polish leadership.
“We are on the same side regarding the security of Europe and a just peace in Ukraine,” Tusk said.
He said the meeting was about Europe’s security and competitiveness, as well as Polish-French relations, the situation in Ukraine and actions for a just world.
Macron’s visit was considered an emergency. Rumors appeared in the media that he would enter into negotiations with Poland on the creation of a military unit that would ensure stability in Ukraine.
