Boxer Gassiev told how Klitschko beat him in sparring at the age of 19

Russian professional boxer Murat Gassiev told how in his youth he sparred with Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko.

According to him, in the USA he had a chance to spar with many boxing superstars, including Deontay Wilder, Chris Arreola, Dominic Breazeale. He especially remembered the blows of Wilder and the Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko.

It’s not easy to reach a star like Klitschko, because he was very good at using his data, moving, controlling the fight with the jab. But even if he beat me all 10 or 12 rounds, it would be a good experience for me. In one of the interviews, I read that one of the coaches said that Klitschko beat me. I do not deny this, but I was generally satisfied with the sparring. Sharing the ring with such a boxer is a great honor.“, Gassiev noted in an interview with the publication”Sport-Express“.

According to him, such sparring with eminent boxers gave him a lot of strength. After that, he realized that he could resist any professional. He added that he was 19 at the time.

Recall that Murat Gassiev is now in Serbia, where he is actively preparing for the upcoming fight with the American Karluz Welch.

August 26 will show broadcasts of fights from Yekaterinburg and Serbia. A unique tournament “Battle of the Kalemegdan Fortress” will take place in Belgrade. And Yekaterinburg will host the RCC 12 tournament, the main battle of which will be the fight between Alexander Shlemenko and the Serbian fighter Alexander Ilic.
