British professional boxer Tyson Fury has told the WBC that he is ready to resume his sports career. The advice gave him time to think about keeping the championship belt until August 26, writes Sky Sports.

Subsequently, the WBC management planned to postpone the decision until September 2 due to the recent death of Fury’s cousin, but he instructed his promoters to contact the organization and confirm his readiness to fight for the undisputed world heavyweight title against Oleksandr Usyk.

Recently, we recall, Fury called the rematch between Usyk and Briton Anthony Joshua “one of the worst fights” for the title that he has ever seen. The Ukrainian, by the way, instead of meeting with Joshua wanted to fight with Fury, but the Briton himself did not accept the offer.

At the end of April, Tyson Fury defended his WBC heavyweight title. He defeated his compatriot Dillian Whyte in the sixth round by technical knockout. The victory was the third in Fury’s career.
