The Russian team “KAMAZ-master” will not take part in the Dakar rally. The team members refused to sign the International Automobile Federation (FIA) questionnaire, which demanded to condemn the special operation in Ukraine.

The KAMAZ-master participant emphasized that the content of the FIA questionnaire is political in nature and violates the principles of equal conditions for athletes.

“We consider it impossible for ourselves to sign such documents and participate in competitions on such conditions. Our choice is obvious – we are always with our Motherland, especially when it is in a difficult situation,” – said the participants of “KAMAZ-master” on the official website.

Earlier, representatives of the International Motor Sport Federation demanded that the racer Sergey Karyakin sign a paper in which he must publicly condemn the special military operation. The athlete was threatened that he would not be allowed to the Dakar rally if he did not sign the paper. Karjakin accused international sports officials of double standards and said that he was not going to give up his country.
