Max Verstappen was awarded 2022 Formula One World Championship win, really dominance at the Japanese Grand Prix chaotic, taking place in very difficult climatic conditions due to rain. Returning to the race, Verstappen managed to keep the lead at the restart. At this point, the opponents had nothing to do. The Dutch driver was able to show impressive wet times, so much so that he was able to create very large gaps.
Leclerc finished second but then penalized 5 seconds for cutting the chicane on the last lap, he lost the second step of the podium in favor of Perez. A very dubious penalty, accepted by the race management in a matter of seconds and without objection. The choice is very different from what we saw at the last Singapore Grand Prix.
