Former UFC champion Conor McGregor commented in his own style on the victory of Russian Islam Makhachev over Brazilian Charles Oliveira. He posted his opinion about the fight on his Twitter page.
The Irishman said that he would have been able to defeat Makhachev in the ring without any problems. McGregor indicated that he was able to surpass his style now.
“Good fight, worthy performance. But I have all the tools to surpass this style now. Experience against shit. Face punches from the clinch and blows to the child’s brain from below. And you know the rest of my repertoire. Steel left leg. Cannon arm. Controlled wrist”– wrote the athlete.
According to Conor, the idea of challenging Makhachev to a fight to evaluate his skills never leaves him.
“The thought of closing their fight with my own developed system is quite intriguing to me. Whoever is against them. It’s nothing personal. It’s a skill assessment. Even across generations. The IMAAF are amateurs.”he concluded.
Earlier, former world boxing champion Mike Tyson gave some advice to Conor McGregor and discussed the prospect of his return to the UFC during The Fight Card podcast.
Recall that on the night of October 23, Russian Islam Makhachev became the lightweight champion. He defeated Brazilian Charles Oliveira via second-round choke submission to become the second domestic fighter in the lightweight division behind Khabib Nurmagomedov.
