“Dynamo” leader Tsigankov goes free to Spanish club middlemen: deal details

According to journalists, the Ukrainian football player will continue to play for the Kyiv team until the summer, but has already passed a medical examination in Girona.

Ukrainian football player Viktor Tsigankov transferred from Dynamo to Spanish club Giron. This was reported by the profile of the Telegram channel Bombardier.

According to media reports, Viktor Tsygankov passed a medical examination and signed a four-year contract. The transition should be officially announced on Monday, January 16. According to the preliminary agreement, the player will start playing for Girona in the summer of 2023 and until then will continue to play for Dynamo in the coming months.

As RBC-Ukraine noted, Viktor Tsygankov’s contract with Dynamo will expire on 30 June. Six months before the deadline, players are entitled to negotiate independently with clubs as “free agents”, exempt from obligations. In this case, Girona will receive Viktor Tsigankov for free – Dynamo will not receive money for the transfer, but the Spanish club may overpay the Ukrainian.

On January 13, the website Dynamomania reported that Viktor Tsigankov did not come for a medical examination to the Dobrobut clinic, where Dynamo players passed before preparing to resume the 2022-2023 football season. The absence of a football player is associated with a transfer to another club.

25-year-old Victor Tsygankov is a graduate of the Dynamo Academy and has played his entire career for the Kyiv club, mainly as a right wing striker. Since 2016, he has appeared in 236 games, scored 94 goals and provided 64 assists. Viktor Tsygankov, the third most expensive Ukrainian football player, is estimated at 22 million euros, according to the website Transfermarkt.

Catalonia-based Girona is 12th in La Liga with 18 points and is just three points above the relegation zone. It is part of the Football City Group, a sports conglomerate that also includes Manchester City, Troyes, Palermo, New York City and other football clubs from around the world.

In 2022, defender Vitaliy Mykolenko moved from Dynamo to Everton (Liverpool). The transfer cost was £17 million.

In December, Cristiano Ronaldo signed a contract with Al-Nasr club from Saudi Arabia. The actor had to pay $ 75 million per season.
