The judge of Buenos Aires ordered this Saturday to preventively close part of one of the stands of the Boca Junior football stadium, Club, which questioned the court decision and assured that it was following all procedures to keep the structure of the building “in order”.
Court No. 1 of Criminal Matters, Misdemeanors and Offenses of Buenos Aires, presided over by Judge Rodolfo Ariza Clerici, at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPF) Argentine Capital, which launched an investigation into alleged structural problems in the stands.
Sources in the Metropolitan MPF confirmed that he requested the preventive closure of the Superior South Tribune of La Bombonera in the face of “potential security threats” and in order to conduct related technical studies.
They explained that this procedure takes place as part of an investigation into the alleged resale of tickets. and a subsequent risk report submitted by the experts, in which they warn of certain “flaws and deficiencies in the building” which, when combined with “an excess of the public”, “constitute a dangerous situation”.
Boca Juniors were knocked out on July 9 against Corinthians in the Copa Libertadores, but one of the images that went viral on social media was the state of equipment and stands at La Bombonera Stadium.
Fans who came from Corinthians recorded half of the stands during one of the chants of local fans. and it is observed how it cracks and opens with each jump of the room. This could one day lead to the collapse of the stadium due to wear and tear on its foundation.
This isn’t the first time these videos of the foundation shaking before fans jump have gone viral.but until now, the leadership of Boca Juniors or some organization has manifested itself in this phenomenon.
If the foundations of one of Argentina’s most emblematic stadiums collapse during a match, it could be a danger to the fans and even the players themselves. and from South America.
