“We have the right to appeal. We have received a decision today, only a decision has been made. Therefore, we do not yet have a decision whether we will appeal or not. We must legally study all the prospects, possibilities and consequences of the appeal,” Titov said.
He explained that this will take time. At the same time, Titov stressed that he did not agree with the FIG decision and considered it too harsh and unfair.
“There are many different circumstances. With the presence or absence of lawyers, with the possibility of legal assistance, which in our current conditions can be obtained. A number of aspects will affect this decision,” – added the head of the FSGR.
Earlier, the FIG suspended the head coach of the Russian national team and the head of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics (VFCG) Irina Viner for two years. The proceedings against her began after the withdrawal of Natalia Kuzmina’s candidacy from the 2021 elections to the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics Technical Committee. Viner was also suspended due to her public statements in the press after the results of the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team at the Tokyo Olympics.
