Orenburg midfielder Lukas Vera wants to get Russian citizenship

Orenburg midfielder Lucas Vera from Argentina wants to obtain Russian citizenship, said club president Vasily Eremyakin, quoted by Sport Express.

“Vera wants to obtain Russian citizenship. We knew about it. This is Lucas’s personal desire,” – said the president of FC “Orenburg”.

The club is ready to provide the Argentine football player with the necessary support and are ready to offer him legal assistance. According to Eremyakin, there have been no concrete actions in this direction yet.

Argentinean Lucas Vera moved to Orenburg from Lanus in July 2022. Last season, the 25-year-old midfielder scored one goal and made five assists for the Russian team. The contract of the Argentine with the Russian club is valid until June 2024.
