Four players have been banned from football for life after it was revealed they colluded to influence the outcome of League Two in the 2022-2023 season. The match between SKA-Khabarovsk-2 and Salyut from Belgorod ended with the score 3:1.
Then the result was annulled, and Salyut was awarded a technical victory with a score of 3:0.
According to the press service of the Russian Football Union, the investigation showed that SKA-Khabarovsk players Denis Derkunsky and Ruslan Pidlisnyak and Salyut players Josi Dzaurov and Ziyadkhan Mammadov, as well as the head of Essentuki Yusup Magomedov organized a fixed match. For this, the control and disciplinary committee of the Russian Football Union decided to remove these athletes from football activities for life.
The Sport-Express edition added that four SKA-Khabarovsk players collaborated with the game department.
Previously reported that the season 2023-2024 of the Russian Premier League starts on July 23. Now among the clubs in the lead are Zenit with 58 points, followed by Rostov with 49 points.
