The head of the UFC White said that the fighters are afraid to fight with Nurmagomedov

For Russian MMA fighter Umar Nurmagomedov, who competes in the bantamweight division, it is very difficult to find an opponent, as athletes from the top 10 UFC ratings are afraid to fight him, said the head of promotion Dana White.

“Not everyone breaks in the door for such a guy to fight. It’s hard when there are fighters from the top ten, having such a guy behind, they don’t want to risk their rating”White said.

According to him, this is why in the case of Nurmagomedov one can often observe such a situation: in public, the fighters declare that they will accept the challenge, but refuse to speak in person.

Umar Nurmagomedov is the cousin of undefeated UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. As part of the Absolute Fighting Championship, he entered the ring four times already – all fights ended in Umar’s victory.
