Olympic champion in figure skating Alina Zagitova said that she had a master class in fencing before her show fight at the Moscow Sports Day. Olympic fencing champion Karina Aznavuryan volunteered to show her skills for the figure skater.

It should be noted that on July 1, Zagitova won Aznavouryan in a show fight in sword fencing with a score of 15:14. Last year, the figure skater participated in boxing sparring with Oleg Saitov.

At a meeting with fans, the athlete admitted that she started boxing for general development.

“I didn’t even think that I would box here. Now I was offered to spar with the Olympic champion in fencing, she gave me a master class, but this, of course, was not enough to defeat her as a professional.”– quotes the figure skater “R-Sport”.

The figure skater also admitted that boxing was easier for her than fencing.

“I was given equipment, a sword, if there is a mood, I will improve in this sport”– said the skater.

Zagitova also said that she was not afraid of injections.

“The first hit on me, and I thought: oh, what was that? I think there will be a bruise. But I’m glad that I now have professional fencer injuries”– said the athlete.

Aznavourian praised the skater, saying that she gave her four injections “really cool.”

It should be noted that with a score of 14:14, the figure skater missed injections twice, but Aznavuryan asked them not to be counted, and Zagitova delivered the winning injection on the third attempt.
