In the very heart of Moscow, at the GUM skating rink, a student sports night is in full swing. With a student card you can ride, take part in relay races and master classes. It all started with a hockey match between KHL stars and those who are still studying at universities. One of the teams includes the Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin himself. Figittal hockey competitions have also taken place – this is something at the intersection of sports, science and technology.

For one evening, the GUM skating rink turned into a hockey arena. Battles take place not only on the ice, but also off it. With gadgets in their hands, students identified the strongest in physical hockey – this is a new, modern approach to sports at the intersection of digital technologies.

First, the participants proved that they were the best at the game console, and then they went on the ice and determined the winner in real sports battles. In the case of hockey – in a shootout.

“The project demonstrates the harmony of the development of motor activity, the identity of physical qualities and at the same time the intellectual abilities of athletes and young people. I am sure that this project has a great future,” – noted Matytsin.

While students are trying their hand at e-sports, preparations are underway in the locker room for the gala match. The student hockey league team faces a difficult battle.
