Following the results of the seventh day of competition, Ukrainian athletes took seventh place in the overall medal standings, having won four gold and three silver medals at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. This is evidenced by their Paralympic rankings.
Ukraine won 7 awards on September 4:
- four gold medals: Yaroslav Denisenko (swimming, 100 m, freestyle, S12 class), Andrey Trusov (swimming, 50 m, freestyle, S7 class), Marina Poddubnaya, Alexey Virchenko, Anna Stetsenko, Yaroslav Denisenko (swimming, mixed doubles), 4×100 m relay, freestyle, 49 points), Anastasia Moskalenko (athletics, shot put, F32 class);
- three “silver”: Maria Shpitkovskaya (athletics, shot put, F46 class), Maxim Veraksa (swimming, 100 m, freestyle, S12 class), Anna Stetsenko (swimming, 100 m, freestyle, S12 class).
Let us note that Andrei Trusov set a new world record in the 50-meter freestyle swimming with a time of 26.38 seconds.
Thus, the total assets of the Ukrainian team currently consist of 52 medals, including 13 gold, 18 silver and 21 bronze. This allows our team to take the seventh place in the overall medal standings.
First place is always taken by China (135 medals), with Great Britain in second place (74 medals) and the USA (63 medals) rounding out the top three finalists.
