Porsche expanded the range of its 911 sports car with the introduction of the new 911 Carrera T. The T stands for “Touring” and stands for the German brand’s models that aim to offer an “emotional” driving experience.

The T in the Porsche 911 Carrera T designation stands for “Touring” and comes from the 911 T’s homologation as a touring car in 1968. This first 911 T was sold until 1973. In 2017, Porsche announced this purist version of the 911 was brought to life with the 911 Carrera T of the 991 generation. Since then, this simplified but especially sporty concept has been successfully transferred to other model lines with the 718 Cayman T, 718 Boxster T and Macan T.

DESIGN AND INTERIORS

The new Porsche 911 Carrera T received recognition for some special aesthetic details including dark gray accents. Contrasting elements such as upper and lower exterior mirror housings, new door lettering, rear lettering and boot lid grille trims are finished in agate grey. The equipment also includes high-gloss black tailpipes.

If we talk about the interior, then Plus sports seats. with four positions as standard. Then we see decorative stripes in matt black and glossy black inserts. Additional features include the Carrera T trim package, which also includes seat belts in slate gray or lizard green contrasting colors. Adaptive Sport Seats Plus can also be fitted upon request. The rear seats have been stowed to save weight. According to the sports scale reaches a weight of 1470 kg, which is 35 kg less than the 911 Carrera with the standard eight-speed PDK gearbox. In addition to eliminating rear seats and reducing insulation, lightweight glass windows help keep weight down.

The new 911 Carrera T is available in four standard colors: black, white, red and racing yellow, as well as four metallic colors: charcoal black, gentian blue, ice gray and GT silver. Special colors available: Chalk, Neo Ruby Red, Carmine Red, Shark Blue and Python Green.

ENGINE AND POWER

The German brand’s new sports car sits somewhere between the 911 Carrera and the 911 Carrera S. The engine is a 3-litre, 6-cylinder, twin-turbocharged flat 283 kW (385 hp) with 450 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a seven-speed manual transmission. An eight-speed PDK gearbox is available as an option.

Speaking of performance, maximum speed reaches 291 km/hand for acceleration 0 to 100 km/h takes 4.5 seconds. Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with self-locking rear differential is standard on the manual Carrera S.

The sports car can also count on Sport Chrono Package and on the sports chassis PASM (-10 mm). A steered rear axle is also available upon request. The 911 Carrera T is also equipped with 20″ Carrera S wheels in titanium gray at the front and 21″ at the rear with 245/35 ZR 20 (front) and 305/30 ZR 21 (rear) tires.

The new Porsche 911 Carrera T will arrive in dealerships from February 2023. If we talk about prices, then in Italy they start at 128,897 euros.
