Porsche announced the production of the 100,000th Taycan. Porsche delivered just over 300,000 vehicles worldwide last year, 41,296 of which were Taycans. Over time, the Taycan family has expanded with two additional body styles: Taycan Cross Turismo and Taycan Sport Turismo. Up to five power levels are available for each version, as well as options with rear or all-wheel drive. The Taycan 4S, with a WLTP range of 513 km, is the longest range version of the series. In addition, the Taycan Turbo S currently holds the record for the fastest production electric car with a time of 7 minutes 33 seconds on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
Model number 100,000 was produced exactly on November 7th and rolled off the assembly line in Zuffenhausen about three years after production began in September 2019. Specifically, it was a Neptune blue Taycan Turbo S for an English customer. Kevin Geekhead of the Taycan series, commented:
