A device with a camera must transmit images to the military while parachuting.

Russian airborne units received a new reconnaissance aircraft “Vzor” for combat operations on the territory of Ukraine. RIA Novosti writes about it, citing a source in the Russian military-industrial complex.

According to him, Vzor is an unmanned vehicle weighing 300 grams, 5 cm in diameter and 30 cm in length. The descent takes about 3 minutes, after which the paratroopers can take the device and use it as a regular security camera, install it on equipment, buildings or any support, but it will require a ground power source for its operation.

“Vzor” is equipped with a daytime optical or high-contrast camera, covering an area of 700 square meters for twilight. m.Special software displays an image on any tablet, laptop or smartphone, recognizing and highlighting various objects.

The source stressed that the first batch of 50 new Vzor drones was sent to the airborne troops of the Russian Armed Forces fighting in Ukraine. How the device will perform in combat depends on whether the Russians will use it widely in the future.

Earlier, in Russia, they announced the creation of a new domestic Dobrynya drone that can withstand extreme weather conditions. As it turned out, the engineers of the Almaz-Antey concern took cheap Chinese quadrocopters, screwed plastic cases on them and decided to sell them to the Russian army in the thousands, quadrupling the price.

Recently at the Aeronet 2035 exhibition in Russia, new UAVs “Aist”, “Scope” and “Shershen” were also presented. The company “Aerial fire” is confident that the Russian army can effectively use such devices in the war in Ukraine.
