Geely launches Panda Mini EV, here is China’s new electric city car December 19, 2022 16

Looking at China’s electric vehicle sales rankings, it’s easy to see that the Wuling Mini EV is among the top-selling models, a small city car with great success. Therefore, in the Chinese market, these models are popular and in great demand. For this, Geely decided to run one his little electric city car call Panda Mini Electric Car.

DESIGNED FOR CITY CENTERS

The name immediately reminds us of our Fiat Panda. Actually it’s a panda reference animal symbol of china. And yet the design is “inspired” by cute animals, starting with round headlights that resemble the eyes of a panda. The special design of the alloy wheels and contrasting black elements are also a reference to the animal symbol of China. The small electric car made its debut at the Hangzhou City Mall inside the booth, where, of course, there were plenty of panda stuffed animals.

This small electric city car must be sold under Geometry stamp belongs to the Geely group. The dimensions of the Panda Mini EV are particularly compact. Right, measure Length 3065 mm, width 1522 mm, height 1600 mm, wheelbase 2015 mm. Inside there is room for 4 passengers.

The vehicle is equipped with an electric motor capable of deliver 30 kW (41 hp). Autonomy it’s only 150km. Not much, but it’s still a model designed exclusively for urban use. Prices (equivalent in euros) should range from 5,000 to 7,000 euros depending on the chosen configuration.

Geely says this new model will hit the streets of China in 2023. This car is supposed to be exclusive to the Chinese market. At the moment, nothing has been said about possible marketing in other markets.
