Elon Musk announces he is stepping down as CEO of Twitter

Elon Musk announces he will soon step down as CEO of Twitter. The announcement came after the billionaire conducted a poll on his personal Twitter account to see if users would like him to stay in office.

“Should I step down as CEO of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this survey,” read the text attached to the survey.

The result of the vote is: 57.5% of users said that Musk should not remain at the helm of the social network. That’s over 10 million votes against the billionaire, given that the total number of people who took part in the poll was 17.5 million.

After the announcement of the final result Musk tweeted that he would step down as CEO after finding someone willing to take over the social network.. He stated that once that was done, he would take care of everything related to Twitter software and servers.

“I will step down as CEO as soon as I find someone stupid enough to accept the position! After that, I’ll just lead the software and servers teams,” he added.

According to reports, Musk is actively looking for a replacement for himself, and there are even rumors that this began even before the publication of the survey..

Elon Musk’s departure came as no surprise, given Musk’s own statements prior to the $44 billion Twitter purchase. In them, he assured that he would remain in his post only for a short time, and then return to focus on his other companies.

You must remember that Musk is also responsible for other tech companies such as Tesla, the main US electric vehicle manufacturer, and SpaceX, an aerospace company. is responsible for launching into orbit both its own satellites and satellites of other companies. It’s even one of the few companies that has contracts with NASA to send materials into space that are used by International Space Station scientists.
