285,000 people have signed up for Tesla’s full self-driving beta on December 30, 2022. 38

More than 285 thousand people in North America have activated the beta version of the system Full self driving, or fully autonomous driving. A definition that in 2023 Tesla, at least in California, will have to change to comply with a law that sets up a package name as misleading. In fact, Tesla itself currently mandates driver surveillance and says that“does not make the car autonomous”which contradicts the definition of driving fully autonomous.

The package has no negligible value. Of the several thousand dollars it took to debut, it has now reached 15 thousand dollars. But it has changed a lot over the years, and that process will continue in the coming months and years – it’s still in beta – thanks to the OTA updates that come to the car periodically. Over 285,000 drivers between the US and Canada have already opened their wallets to the expensive FSD system and activated the beta that was recently opened to everyone. some will be able to buy the system even if they already have a Tesla that doesn’t have one.: cars leave the factory with the necessary equipment, after which the buyer decides whether and when it needs to be tested.

Musk has previously said that the goal was to reach a million vehicles with FSD by the end of 2022. He is not yet able to bring the car and driver to their destination under any circumstances, but in most scenarios, Tesla can already follow the route set on the navigator with almost complete autonomy.

Tesla raises the cost of fully autonomous driving. In America, it rises to $12,000.
