Volkswagen is working on a facelift for its ID.3 electric car. As you know, this new car will be officially presented next spring. New environmentally friendly materials will be used for the interior. In addition, the infotainment system will be able to count on 12″ display, against the current 10-inch. There will also be one new software which can be updated over time via OTA. In addition, some changes will be made to the center console, which will offer two cupholders.
As for the powertrain, Volkswagen has not yet said if there will be any significant news. However, we know that with the restyling, the new ID.3 will be able to count on Plug & Charge Support which gives the car the ability to charge without using apps or cards from compatible speakers (e.g. IONITY).
Thus, with the restyling, Volkswagen will introduce several new features for its ID.3. Further details are bound to emerge in the coming months as the debut approaches. In terms of marketing, Volkswagen has already announced that due to the high number of requests from the ID.3, customers who order new versions will only receive their new car from the fourth quarter of 2023.
