If we talk, however, about the engines that we will find under the hood of the new generation Mercedes E-Class, then mild hybrid technology it should become “standard”. Even so, the engines must be electrified. In fact, for the maximum configuration, we are talking about the same technical solution that we have already seen on the S 63 E PERFORMANCE. If so, we’ll find a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine capable of 450kW/612bhp. with a torque of 900 Nm, paired with an electric unit with a power of 140 kW / 190 hp. with a torque of 320 Nm.
