The heart is open. Hubble Telescope captures stunning image of red nebula (photo)

Only part of the Spirit Nebula is visible in the new Space Telescope image, but it looks like a holiday decoration.

Although the New Year holiday has already passed, it never ends in the Soul Nebula. At least, according to a new image from the Hubble Space Telescope that captured the bright red part of the nebula.

Located 7,000 light-years from us, the red part of the Emission nebula looks like a real holiday card. The emission of red light in this small part of the nebula is associated with a special type of radiation that results from the energy loss of electrons inside hydrogen atoms, resulting in red light.

Thanks to the new Hubble image, the presence of a free-floating, evaporating gas sphere is also clearly visible in this region. It looks like a dark tadpole at the top of the picture. This bead also has the name KAG2008 bead 13 or J025838.6+604259. Globules are also nebulae that contain very dense gas and are much darker than the brighter regions surrounding the larger nebula.

Free-floating evaporative gas globules belong to a special class of evaporative gas globules. They appear in nebulae when powerful radiation from young, hot stars ionizes the surrounding gas. Thus the gas is dispersed and this can cause the process of formation of new stars to be suspended.

However, the gas is so dense in the evaporating gas globules that this process of gas dispersal is much slower than in the surrounding areas of space. Thus, the gas remains denser in the spheres, therefore it contracts and protostars appear, from which ordinary stars will appear in the future.

By the way, scientists have recently discovered the existence of globules of vaporized gas in space, and such structures can be seen especially at the ends of the famous Pillars of Creation. This structure is a collection of gas and dust in the Eagle Nebula, 7,000 light-years away from us.

And the free-floating globules of evaporating gas were discovered later, and they differ from the globules of evaporating gas in that they separate from the surrounding gas, giving them a distinct tadpole-like shape.

As for the Soul Nebula, it has a cosmic partner – the Heart emission nebula, located 7.5 thousand light-years from us. This assemblage of gas and dust got its name because the glowing hydrogen made it look like a red heart.

The two nebulae are connected by a kind of gas bridge and are sometimes referred to as the Heart and Soul Nebula Complex. The total region occupied by space is about 300 light-years across, and new stars are emerging rapidly. Also, both nebulae are filled with very young stars compared to the age of the Sun (almost 5 billion years old). According to astronomers, these stars are no more than a few million years old.

As already written FocusA copy of the Milky Way has appeared over Hawaii, and scientists have explained where the new “galaxy” came from.

same Focus He wrote that the Hubble Space Telescope saw how a black hole “eats” a star and turns it into a doughnut. A black hole is “eating” a star 300 million light-years away from us.
