Citroen C4 and C5 X, new for the 2023 model year 04 February 2023 0

Citroen announced a series of small innovations for its C4, also electric and C5 X with the introduction Model year 2023. The updates are already available for models sold in France. As for the Citroen C4 and e-C4 electric versionFirst, there is a new optional two-tone color Perla Nera for the roof. Much more interesting, however, is the introduction My Citroen Drive Plus infotainment system the latest generation that replaces the My Citroen Drive system. On these models, the infotainment system is equipped with a 10-inch screen. The interface can rely on widgets to provide quick access to applications.

Obviously, there is no shortage of voice assistant, 3D navigation maps and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system also includes the TomTom Map Update Service, which automatically updates navigation maps every month. The upgrade service is free for 3 years.

Moving on to the Citroen C5 X, the French manufacturer introduced new version of Plug-in Hybrid 180 e-EAT8 which offers a powertrain consisting of a 1.6 PureTech petrol engine with 150 hp. in combination with an 81 kW electric motor. Overall, 180 hp is available. with a maximum torque of 360 Nm.

With a 12.4 kWh battery (11.3 kWh used), the C5 X can hit the road. up to 62 km on electricity only on the WLTP cycle. In the urban cycle, it offers a power reserve of up to 71 km. In addition, the C5 X line has also Highway Driver Assist 2.0 which offers level 2 driving assistance features. It includes lane change assist for overtaking, speed adjustment warning, and a steering wheel sensor that allows you to check if the driver is maintaining control of the car.
