According to intelligence, the enterprises of the aggressor country are forced to take such a step in order to report to the Kremlin on the production of a large number of weapons.
The Russian Federation continues to produce new missiles, but simplifications due to import substitution have led to the fact that this is already a “completely different” weapon. According to the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, this was stated in the article written by Vadym Skibitsky, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, for the organization “Technologies and Strategies of Ukraine”.
He said he shared information with his partners about the types of weapons found to cut Ukraine’s supply channels more effectively.
“The enemy understands this and is trying to import substitution, but we know that it will be extremely difficult and sometimes impossible for them to achieve real results in this area,” Skibitsky said.
He noted that Russia had to go to simplify production, which allowed the heads of enterprises to report to the Kremlin on the creation of a large number of weapons, but they were much worse than those produced earlier.
“Simplification of production is first and foremost about high-precision weapons, and as a result, they cease to be high-precision anyway. If they do not have certain Western-made components, then they simplify the control system, navigation. Yes, this is a powerful missile, but it does not meet the initial characteristics.” said.
The representative of the GUR noted that Russia has concrete problems with missile production. Skibitsky said that Russia previously produced an average of 200 missiles per year, now it can produce four Iskander missiles and about 20-30 Kh-101 missiles.
At the same time, production is dependent on foreign components, which are very scarce in warehouses.
Recall that on January 25, intelligence spokesperson Vadym Skibitsky said that Moscow could be a potential target for weapons of destruction of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Also on February 6 The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, reported that Russia delivered the weapons it seized on the battlefield in Ukraine to Iran.
