The Armed Forces of Ukraine for the first time will receive an “invincible” Danish aircraft RQ-35 Heidrun: how it will help (video)

The drone accelerates to 60 km / h and can fly even under the influence of Russian “scramblers”.

The government will purchase the Danish RQ-35 Heidrun drone for the Ukrainian Armed Forces as part of the United24 initiative. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mikhail Fedorov, on the Telegram channel.

Funds were raised for the purchase of drones of UAH 6.1 million through the Air Raid application. According to the minister, the drone will allow the Ukrainian military to conduct aerial reconnaissance without endangering their lives and without fear of Russian electronic warfare systems.

Mikhail Fedorov recalled that American actor Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, raised money for ten more RQ-35 Heidruns. He also sang the English version of the “Air Raid” application with famous movie lines.

Drones aircraft type RQ-35 Heidrun are produced by the Danish company Sky Watch. It is light enough to be thrown by hand, making it easier for the military to work in the field. The drone can fly autonomously along a predetermined route while operators closely monitor the image transmitted by the camera. Sky Watch also provides special software and a tablet for manual control of the UAV. The developers claim that the RQ-35 Heidrun can fly even under the influence of electronic warfare equipment, which suppresses satellite navigation.
