Ukrainians created a “land” kamikaze aircraft capable of holding 200 kg of explosives (video)

The platform moves on motorcycle wheels, is equipped with a night vision camera and is controlled by a remote control.

Two inventors from the village of Broshnev-Osada in the Ivano-Frankivsk region have created a ground-based drone for the military, which they call Ghost (Primara). They shared the details of their projects with TSN reporters.

Roman Borynets and Volodymyr Mussur responded to the requests of their Ukrainian military acquaintances and developed an effective means of transporting goods in wartime conditions: ammunition, water, food and the like. Volunteers built a robotic platform on four wheels from a motorcycle equipped with a night vision camera and remote control system. The drive from the garage door helps with steering, while the batteries from the electric bikes provide autonomy.

Using a remote control with a display and antenna, the operator can steer the “velodrone” in the right direction. The drone can reach speeds of up to 20 km/h, travel through fields and marshes, and carry loads weighing up to 200 kg. It can even be loaded with explosives and turn it into an exploding kamikaze drone at the touch of a button.

The inventors are preparing to send their devices to the front, where the military can test them in practice, identify shortcomings and make recommendations on how to improve them. By the way, Roman and Vladimir will not stand idly by, but promise to prepare components for the next “velodrone” that will help evacuate the wounded from the battlefield.

Earlier, we wrote about testing a new technology for missile launch of unmanned aerial vehicles in Ukraine. A small setup gives the UAV the jet propulsion needed for takeoff and replaces massive catapults. With its help, drones can be quickly launched directly from trucks.

In January, it became known that Ukrainian engineer Mikhail Dronov has built a new UAV bomber for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It should carry a load of up to three kilograms for a distance of up to 50 km.
