Invisible drone “Hort”: it will hunt Russian equipment (video)

The Dutch company DeltaQuad has donated a protected reconnaissance UAV that can fly to Ukraine for about an hour and transmit video 50 km.

The Ukrainian army in the Zaporozhye region will take delivery of the “Hort” unmanned aerial vehicle produced in the Netherlands. This is reported by Channel 5.

In about two weeks, residents of Zaporizhzhya “donated” about two million hryvnia to purchase a reconnaissance aircraft S-300 anti-aircraft missile system worth $ 55,000 for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the near future, it will be delivered to one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine fighting in the Zaporozhye direction. Specialists of the manufacturing company have already trained Ukrainian operators on how to operate the aircraft. Volunteer Maxim Tereshchenko emphasized that despite the seeming simplicity, this is a complex technique, so at first the operators “learned to manage it online.”

The hose can take off and land vertically, making launching much easier. The drone, which rises to a height of 5 kilometers and can fly silently up to 50 kilometers, transmits the image from the camera in real time.

According to the military, it is not afraid of rain, snow, wind or electronic warfare, well protected by high-quality European components. If communication with the operator is lost, Hort continues to perform the mission offline and then returns to the launch site.

“I flew and I still fly and I still fly and I fly normal catapult-launched wings, and I want to tell you that this is going very well. Some of the wings we have in the military, they just can’t fly in this kind of weather,” — shared the military with the “Sky” call sign.

He added that a camera with good zoom allows you to observe from a very high place while remaining invisible to the enemy in cloudy weather. Additionally, the drone’s electronics and control system are encrypted and require a cryptographic key that only the operator needs to access.

Judging by the appearance and text on the remote control, DeltaQuad’s Dutch DeltaQuad Pro drone is hiding under the name “Hort”. This is a professional-grade commercial UAV and is available in three versions: mapping (#MAP), reconnaissance and object tracking (#VIEW), cargo delivery (#CARGO).

It is likely that the Zaporozhye army will receive a reconnaissance version (#VIEW) because it is he who can transmit the video for 50 km. The model is also equipped with a thermal imager, an optical camera with 360-degree vision and 80x zoom, and a system for autonomous object tracking. The flight time of such a drone is about 110 minutes.

Previously, they wrote that DeltaQuad has introduced the Evo eVTOL unmanned aerial vehicle that can fly for up to 4.5 hours without stopping. The special design with fixed wing and vertical take-off system improves aerodynamics, reducing wind resistance, and special compartments allow you to carry a payload of up to 3 kg. This allows the Evo eVTOL to be equipped for simultaneous reconnaissance, aerial photography, mapping and LiDAR missions.
