Social network customers were also having trouble downloading media files that could not be viewed due to the malfunction.
Internet users around the world began to complain about the performance of the social network Twitter. As evidenced by data from the Downdetector portal, the PC version turned out to be corrupt when everything in the application was running from a mobile phone.
The first issues using the social network surfaced at 6:41 PM on March 6, and users started reporting the issue. An API related error message appears when trying to access the site.
There was also an issue with media files not being uploaded by Twitter users from around the world. It is not yet known when the issue will be resolved.
The mobile version of the social network application works smoothly and users can continue to use it safely.
Variety contacted Twitter support regarding the social network’s collapse, and staff responded:
“Some parts of Twitter may not be working as expected at this time. We’ve made internal changes with some unintended consequences. We’re currently working on it and will post an update when it’s fixed.”
Recall, on March 1, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the OP, said that the reputation of the Twitter social network was dying, and Elon Musk was accused of aiding Russian propaganda. The man suggested that the social network owner needs a regulator who will explain the “rules of competition” to him.
