A former police officer rescued 1,400 dogs with the help of a drone: how did he do it?

Adam started a charity that helps find the owners of lost pets.

Former police officer Phil James founded Drone to Home, a charity that helps find lost animals in Nottingham, England. His foundation has been around for several years, and during that time Phil has managed to find more than 1,400 four-legged animals using drones.

When the ex-cop first started helping with the search for missing animals, he didn’t think his venture would become this popular. James started volunteering on his own, but created a WhatsApp group message for volunteers who are actively signing up to help him. Adam says he hopes to raise enough money to buy a thermal drone and set up dedicated drones to search for lost pets in every county in the UK. Additionally, the Drone to Home Foundation offers to enroll in courses on drone use.

And it all started when Phil responded to a request from a local resident who lost his Springer Spaniel and couldn’t find his dog for three days in a row. James took the drone and scanned the entire area looking for the poor missing man. Eventually, Springer Spaniel Drizzy was found on an abandoned construction site and was returned to its owner.

“I will never fully express my gratitude to Phil and his organization for what he and his organization are doing to save animals. We need more Phil James in this world,” says the owner of the found dog.

Previously Focus He wrote that a unique drone was tested in Spain, which not only flies, but also rolls. The drone can be used not only in war, but also in rescue operations in human-made disasters.
